Dale, 32, is the single father of an 11-year-old daughter. Dale also is alcoholic. When Dale came to Monadnock Substance Abuse Services, he was in danger of losing his job and was worried about his daughter.
Soon after starting to work with one of our therapists, Dale began hiking and running again. He developed a network of friends and supporters through Alcoholics Anonymous. He also enrolled his daughter in counseling to help her work through her feelings about her mother's absence. By learning to manage the temptations to relapse, Dale has stayed sober and enjoying life with his daughter once again.
