Substance Abuse Overview

With offices in Keene and Peterborough, Monadnock Substance Abuse Services provides a supportive, non-judgmental atmosphere in which persons addicted to alcohol and other substances can change their outlook, change their habits, and reclaim control of their lives and their future.

Battling addictions is never easy.  Don't go it alone.

MFS’s licensed counselors specialize in helping people confront their addiction, recognize and resolve underlying issues, and learn to take control of their lives.

When you have lost hope, you have lost everything. And when you think all is lost, when all is dire and bleak, there is always hope. Pittacus Lore

Individual counseling helps participants to develop their own personal relapse prevention plans and strategies, in addition to helping them find ongoing sources of support and self-help, such as Alcoholics Anonymous, Al-Anon, and Narcotics Anonymous.  Clients can consult our psychiatrist or advanced registered nurse practitioner if there are medical concerns or the likelihood that treatment may include medications.

We also offers specialized group programs, including a readiness group for those considering treatment and a group for people dealing simultaneously with substance abuse and mental illness.
