Adult Services Overview
From time to time, all of us grapple with disturbing thoughts and feelings – either due to specific life-changing events, such as the death of a family member or a personal financial crisis, or to deeper-seated and longer-term challenges. During those times, for yourself or someone close to you, you can turn to MFS’s team of licensed, experienced counselors for help, support, and guidance.
Our services for individuals, partners, parents, veterans, and seniors include:
- short and long-term individual and group treatment for depression, anxiety, grief, and other emotional difficulties;
- treatment for mild or severe mental illness;
- special programs to treat borderline personality disorder;
- substance abuse treatment;
- family and marriage counseling;
- an employment program to help persons in recovery find and keep meaningful work;
- a day program for seniors;
- counseling for veterans, both women and men, re-entering civilian life, especially for those struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder, substance abuse, depression, and anger;
- mediation for seniors, families, parents who are divorcing, children and parents in crisis, and organizations seeking change;
- supportive counseling and groups for adoptive parents and for grandparents
and other relatives serving as parents.
Personal counseling is available at all of our locations throughout the Monadnock region, including Keene, Peterborough, Antrim, Jaffrey, Walpole, and Winchester.
Cost doesn’t need to be a barrier to receiving the services you need. If you have insurance, we can help you understand your coverage. If you do not have insurance, we will help you discover payment options, including the possibility of reduced rates for our services.
